Campaign Against Terrorism

The National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) has launched its Campaign against Terrorism to spread awareness, encourage public participation, and strengthen national unity against all forms of terrorism. This initiative focuses on promoting peace, discouraging extremist ideologies, and building a responsible, informed citizenry that actively contributes to national security.

NIB is committed to condemning terrorism in all forms and supports coordinated action through awareness drives, community engagement, banner campaigns, and national-level conferences.

This campaign does not emerge from a specific event like the 26/11 attacks but rather from the Bureau's ongoing mission to create a safer and more secure India.

Objectives

  • To educate and empower Indian citizens to stand against the threat of terrorism.
  • To build national responsibility among the youth and communities.
  • To promote peace, harmony, and social tolerance.
  • To organize informative sessions, workshops, and anti-terrorism awareness events in schools, colleges, and communities.
  • To support and collaborate with government agencies and security forces in building a united front against terrorism.
  • To establish NIB as a civilian watchdog, providing intelligence inputs and community feedback for safer local environments.

Key Activities of NIB

  1. Awareness Campaigns: In schools, colleges, and local communities.
  2. Public Engagement: Poster drives, street plays, and public engagement campaigns.
  3. Digital Outreach: Dissemination of terrorism-related information through social media and digital platforms.
  4. Public Education: On legal rights, cyber crime awareness, and how to report suspicious activities.
  5. Youth Leadership: Encouraging local leadership and training youth volunteers to take active roles in their communities.
  6. Dialogue Sessions: Hosting sessions with experts, law enforcement, and civic groups.

Our Belief

At NIB, we believe that terrorism is not just about weapons or violence—it often begins with ignorance, fear, and ideological manipulation. The fight against terrorism begins in our homes, schools, and communities. When citizens are alert, informed, and united, terrorism has no ground to stand on.

Security Motto

"An informed Citizen is the first line of Defense in National security."
