Introduction

The National Crime Investigation Bureau (NIB) is a non-governmental, voluntary public-interest organization committed to legal awareness, justice support, and the protection of human and constitutional rights across India.

While NIB operates independently and is not a government or enforcement agency, it works in alignment with legal authorities and departments to support the creation of a safe, aware, and justice-driven society.

This document outlines the authorized duties, core activities, rules & regulations, and the declaration applicable to all NIB members.

Authorized Duties & Responsibilities

Focus Areas: All NIB members are permitted to engage in:

  • Anti-national and anti-social activities
  • Systemic corruption and unlawful practices impacting public welfare
  • Counterfeit currency circulation and illegal arms smuggling
  • Bonded labour, child labour, sexual harassment & human dignity violations

Reporting Protocol: Verified information may be submitted to Local Police, Government Departments, National Agencies (CBI, ED, NIA) or Judicial bodies.

Note: All actions must be within the legal and constitutional framework of India and NIB internal by-laws.

Rules & Regulations

  • Membership Nature: Voluntary, unpaid, non-transferable.
  • Identity Verification: Official NIB ID with QR/Hologram.
  • Legal Boundaries: No raids, arrests, or enforcement actions.
  • Reporting Responsibility: Only verified and factual information.
  • Renewal & Compliance: Annual renewal with activity submission.
  • Mandatory Participation: Minimum 5 official duty days.
  • Meetings: 50% attendance mandatory.
  • Assignments: District, State & National duties.
  • Jurisdiction: Kolkata, West Bengal, India.

Member Declaration

  • All information provided is true and accurate.
  • No activity harmful to NIB, Nation, or Society.
  • Members understand NIB is a voluntary organization.
  • All rules and policies will be followed.
  • Participation in activities and meetings is compulsory.
  • NIB HQ holds final authority on membership decisions.

This declaration is considered accepted upon joining. No separate signature is required.
